High Cholesterol Hypertension
Having high cholesterol hypertension is something serious that should not be left untreated. High cholesterol hypertension may be considered a dangerous disease because of many factors. However, its most dangerous description may have to be the fact that high cholesterol hypertension does not usually display any physical symptoms, but when ignored, may cause death.
The cholesterol in our bodies is actually an essential substance for us to live. However, there are what medical experts refer to as good cholesterol, also known as HDL, and bad cholesterol, also known as LDL.
Too much LDL may actually increase the risk of high cholesterol hypertension as well as other cardiovascular ailments. If your physician believes that you may have developed high cholesterol hypertension, you may be asked to undergo routine exams for confirmation such as:

- a urine test to see if your urine has particles of blood or protein
- an electrocardiogram or ECG
Once it is established that you do have high cholesterol hypertension, you may be required by your physician to not only make changes to your lifestyle, but also to take medications on a regular basis. In terms of lifestyle changes, exercise and eating healthy may have to be done for the long term. People who have high cholesterol hypertension and are overweight may really have to lose weight to help reduce the high blood pressure they have.
A healthy diet may also be good not only for those with high cholesterol hypertension, but also for each and every person. This is because eating healthy may help prevent the risk of getting ill as well as help people control their weight and manage high cholesterol hypertension effectively.
Recognizing the dangers of high cholesterol hypertension may be a good step to living a healthier life. Bear in mind that high cholesterol hypertension may be considered a ‘silent killer’ and therefore must not be left untreated.
